NovaNET Contract

 

 

 


Ø     I must remain on NovaNET during class unless otherwise instructed by the facilitator.

Ø     I will not surf the Internet or check e-mail while in the NovaNet lab unless instructed by the facilitator.

Ø     I will not visibly display or use a beeper or cellular phone while in the NovaNet lab in accordance to school rules.

Ø     I must keep a notebook of my NovaNet work and notes which will be 20% of my grade.

Ø     I understand I am expected to follow normal school rules regarding attendance and tardies.

Ø     Attendance is mandatory: AFTER 5 ABSENCES, A PARENT CONFERENCE WILL BE REQUIRED.

Ø     Coursework provided by NovaNet can be finished during the semester; it is my responsibility to make sure I progress at an appropriate pace.

Ø     I must be in attendance, completing work in order to receive credit.  IF I DO NOT COMPLETE THE WORK DURING THE SEMESTER, I WILL RECEIVE A FAILING GRADE FOR THE CLASS.

Ø     I understand that a score of 80 or higher is a passing grade on all NovaNET tests.

Ø     NovaNet grades are weighed based on EXPECTED PROGRESS IN THE CLASS.

Ø     Final grades are based on the following for all courses w/o an EOCT:

20% Participation/Attendance

20% Daily NovaNet Coursework and NovaNet notebook

60% NovaNet tests

Ø     Final grades are based on the following for all courses w/ an EOCT:

15% EOCT

20% Participation/Attendance

20% Daily NovaNet Coursework and NovaNet notebook

45% NovaNet tests

 

I understand and agree to follow the NovaNet Rules.  If I do not comply with the rules, I may not receive credit.
